AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3178 TO PROVIDE FOR THE
USE OF FUNDS FROM THE WEST TEXAS ELECTRIC FUND; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED
BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on April 4, 1977, the Board of Aldermen passed and
approved Ordinance No. 3178, establishing the West Texas Electric
Fund to be funded from revenues received from the West Texas
Utilities Company; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of
Wichita Falls to use the funds in the West Texas Electric Fund in
any manner the Council finds is in the best interest of its
citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 3178 is hereby amended to
read in its entirety as follows:
"There is hereby established a reserve fund to be known as
"West Texas Electric Fund, " which shall be maintained in the
City's depository bank. All revenues received from West Texas
Utilities Company under the above-described contract shall be
deposited as collected into the West Texas Electric Fund.
Money in such fund shall be invested, and the revenue
received from such investments shall become part of the fund.
The money from such fund shall be used as appropriated by the
City Council of the City of Wichita Falls. "
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to
the public as required by law. 7
