AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF SCOOTER DRIVE TO AIR FORCE
DRIVE AND FURLONG STREET TO REYES STREET; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Scooter Drive and Furlong Street are dedicated public,
streets in the Sheppard Heights Subdivision; and,

WHEREAS, there are no properties presently addressed on such
streets; and,
WHEREAS, such streets are planned to be extended as part of a new
subdivision to be known as "Guam Estates" ; and,
WHEREAS, the developer of Guam Estates has requested that the
streets be renamed as "Air Force Drive" and "Reyes Street"
respectively; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that these street name changes

are in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The name of "Scooter Driven is hereby changed to
"Air Force Driven.
SECTION 2 . The name of "Furlong Street" is hereby changed to
"Reyes Street".
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall become effective upon the
filing of a final plat ,of "Guam Estates" with the Wichita County
Clerk, showing the dedication of the new sections of Air Force
Drive and Reyes Street. This plat must be filed within one (1)
year of the passage of this ordinance.
SECTION 4 .It is hereby officially found and determined that
the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the
public as .required by law.
