ORDINANCE NO.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS AMENDING CHAPTER 32 ENTITLED
WATER AND SEWER AT SECTION 32-140
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to alter their
Storm Water Management Ordinance by requiring, that during a 100-
year return frequency of storm event, that the rate of runoff not
exceed the rate of runoff from the site under consideration in
its undeveloped condition; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that this action is
not detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the
population.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 32-140 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED
SO THAT SUCH SECTION SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS:
(a) Storm water release rate:
(1) The controlled release rate of storm water runoff
shall not exceed that- e-F--air-tttteleve.leped--aterm

site, in its undeveloped condition, during a 100-
year return frequency storm event. The release
rate shall be the average value computed with
excess storm water representing fifty (50) percent
of the available storage volume.

The volume and release rate calculations shall be
based on the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation values for developed and
undeveloped run-off coefficients, coupled with
sound engineering judgement.
