ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE LUCY PARK
NATURE CENTER AND RESTAURANT.
WHEREAS, the Lucy Park Nature Center is a desirable
facility for the community; and,
WHEREAS, the City and the Wichita falls Junior League
will be jointly responsible for the development of such a
facility; and,
WHEREAS, the Junior League has committed $110,000
toward the project and will engage in fund raising for
additional monies; and,
WHEREAS, fund raising activities by the Junior League
may be more successful with the commitment of funds by the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated from Fund 70-411
($111,888 . 43) , 70-422 ($41,234. 52) , 70-423 ($4, 906.16) , 11-
100 ($10 ,349.76) and fund 55-633 ($1, 621.13) totalling
$170,000.00, for development of the Lucy Park Nature Center
and Restaurant .
