ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1, 356, 000 FROM THE
SANITATION FUND EQUITY TO THE LANDFILL
OPERATIONAL ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue to operate its
Sanitary Landfill to serve the citizens of the City of Wichita
Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency has
promulgated rules for operation of sanitary landfills on October
9, 1991 as 40 CFR, Parts 257 and 258; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Water Commission has adopted and
published as final regulations on June 18, 1993, the Texas
Municipal Solid Waste Regulations as Chapter 330; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that additional funds
need to be transferred from Equity to the Landfill Operational
Account to enable certain actions to be taken to try to comply
with the State and Federal regulations by the appropriate
effective date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The sum of $1, 356, 000 is hereby appropriated from Sanitation
Fund Equity to the operating accounts as shown on the attached
revised budget 92-93 .
