ORDINANCE TO WAIVE SECTION 32-57 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO APPROVE A REDUCED SEWER BILL
FOR TEXAS AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION SERVICE
FACILITY ON MIDWESTERN PARKWAY (ACCOUNT 12
056 0110 1)
WHEREAS, the County Extension Agent for Agriculture has
requested a reduction in the sewer bill for the 4-H Facility on
Midwestern Parkway because the facility experienced vandalism,
causing flooding of the 4-H Barn and surrounding property;
WHEREAS, the damaged water pipe reportedly allowed the
uncontrolled flow of water into the barn, water that did not go
into the City sanitary sewer system; and,
WHEREAS, the sewer bill for the 4-H Facility averages $22 .52
per month, and the sewer bill on the October 1, 1993 billing is
$405 . 09, an increase of $382 .57 above the average sewer use;
WHEREAS, the Council has duly considered the request for
reduction in the sewer bill .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 32-57 of the Code of Ordinances is waived, and the
request by the County Extension for Agriculture is hereby
approved for Account Number 12 056 01101 1. The staff is
authorized to reduce the sewer bill on the October, 1, 1993
billing from $405 . 09 to $22 .52, a total reduction of $382 .57 .
