Ord 014-94 2/1/1994 • ORDINANCE NO. V-1 -6717/ ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 32-1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING BILLING; DISCONNECTING AND RECONNECTING FEES WHEREAS, field service workers of the Utility Collections Division were at one time allowed to receive payments from customers in the field; WHEREAS, the current ordinance has language to facilitate this operating procedure for the service worker to receive payments; and, WHEREAS, the field service workers are no longer authorized to receive such payments, and the language in the ordinance that permits receiving such payments needs to be eliminated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: Section 32-1 of the Code of Ordinances is amend to read as follows : "Section 32-1 . Billing; disconnecting and reconnecting fees . All services for water, sewer and sanitation accounts shall be billed together. All water, sewer and sanitations accounts shall be payable monthly and shall carry a due date of approximately ten (10) days after the billing date . If such bill has not been paid by the billing date of the succeeding month' s bill, then the succeeding month' s bill will include a delinquent notice which will state that the customer' s service will be discontinued without further ne,tice unless payment is made on or before the due date and a service fee of fifteen dollars ($15 . 00) must be paid before service will be restored. If the full amount has not been paid on or before the due date of the seconds month' s bill or satisfactory arrangements for paying the bill have not been made, the water, sewer and sanitation services will be discontinued, and a service fee of fifteen dollars ($15 . 00) will be charged to the account . Discontinued service will be restored with full payment of the bill and the fifteen ($15 . 00) service fee .
