AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REZONING ALL OF BLOCKS K & P, LOT 31 AND LOTS
46 THROUGH 52, BLOCK J, R.E. MONTGOMERY SUBDIVISION,
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FROM SINGLE FAMILY-2 RESIDENTIAL (SF-
2)TO RIVER DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT(RDD); AND REZONING LOTS 1
THROUGH 16, BLOCK J, R.E. MONTGOMERY SUBDIVISION, WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL (GC) TO RIVER
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (RDD) CASE R 94-03; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS,the Planning& Zoning Commission has recommended rezoning City owned property
in the Multipurpose Event Center site from Single Family-2 (SF-2) and General Commercial (GC) to
River Development District(RDD) and;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls deems that the proposed rezoning of the
area hereafter described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. All of Blocks K & P, Lot 31 and Lots 46 through 52, Block J, R.E. Montgomery
Subdivision, Wichita Falls, Texas, are hereby rezoned from Single Family-2 Residential (SF-2) to River
Development District (RDD); and Lots 1 through 16, Block J, R.E. Montgomery Subdivision, Wichita
Falls, Texas, are hereby rezoned from General Commercial (GC) to River Development District (RDD)
as shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment No. 1.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this Ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
