AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX C OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO INCLUDE THE DEFINITION OF "RESTAURANTS,
LIMITED" AND TO AUTHORIZE "RESTAURANTS, LIMITED" IN LIMITED
COMMERCIAL (LC) ZONES; FINDING AND DETERMING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDNANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that certain types of food establishments have
nuisance factors of a lesser degree than the typical restaurant and should be permitted in certain areas
subject to public scrutiny; and
WHEREAS, such businesses are viewed as beneficial to the economic well being of a neighborhood
and help provide a service to the neighborhood which is felt to increase the social interaction of the
neighborhood and the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Appendix C, Section 3400 of the Code of Ordinances is amended to allow
"Restaurants, Limited" as a conditional use in the Limited Commercial (LC) Zone as shown in
Attachment A.
SECTION 2. Appendix C, Section 2030 of the Code of Ordinances is amended to include the
definition of"Restaurant, Limited" as shown in Attachment B.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.

3400 CONDITIONAL USES
The following uses are permitted in the LC district subject to the approval process provided in Section
7200 and to the p rovisions of Section 3420 Special Conditions.
Residential Uses:
• Dwelling, Multifamily-Family, exceeding 25 units per acre
• Manufactured Homes, subject to the provisions of Section 5600
Civic Uses:
• Day Care Centers, Commercial, more than 1,200 sq. ft. in gross floor area
• Residential Care Facility
Commercial Uses:
• Alcoholic Beverage Sales, subject to the provisions of Section 5400
• Art Gallery/Museum
• Clinic
• Club
• Convenience Stores
• Medical Offices, more than 1,200 sq. ft. in gross floor area
• Offices, more than 1,200 sq. ft.. in gross floor area
• Restaurant, Limited, less than 1,200 sq. ft. in gross floor area
• Retail Trade, excluding automobile sales and supermarkets.
• Services, more than 1,200 sq. ft. in gross floor area, excluding automotive repair services
and restaurants

RESTAURANT,LIMITED
A business engaged in the serving of prepared foods, but not involved in a cooking process
which would require the installation of a grease trap as required in the latest adopted
Building Code. Such enterprises may include, but are not limited to, salad bars, sandwich
shops, ice cream parlors, tearooms, and similar uses.
