ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC . 22-1( a )( 2 ) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
PROHIBITING HORSES , OTHER LARGE ANIMALS , CARRIAGES , AND
MOTOR VEHICLES FROM TRAILS .
WHEREAS , it is desirable to prohibit horses and motor
vehicles from City park trails ; and ,
WHEREAS , present ordinance does not clearly prohibit
these activities from trails .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT :
Section 22-l( a )( 2 ) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended to read
( 2 ) Driving vehicles or animals in parks and public
school ground . It shall be unlawful for any
person to drive or propel any vehicle , motor
vehicle , or drive any horse , or other large animal
in , over or through any park , trail , or public
school ground , excepting upon paved streets
or driveways , or to drive or propel along or
over any park drives , trails , or parkways any
heavy laden vehicles or any vehicles carrying
merchandise , goods , material or rubbish or any
moving van or truck .
