AN ORDINANCE REZONING 5101 HENRY S. GRACE FREEWAY, BEING
24 ACRES OUT OF BLOCK 43, KEMP AND NEWBY SUBDIVISION,
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (SF2)
TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL(GC); FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended that a 24 acre tract out of
Block 43, Kemp and Newby Subdivision, Wichita Falls, Texas, be rezoned from Single Family
Residential (SF-2) to General Commercial (GC); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the proposed
rezoning of the area hereafter described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in
the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. That 24 acre tract out of Block 43, Kemp and Newby Subdivision, Wichita Falls,
Texas, as shown as the shaded area on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment
No. 1, be rezoned from Single Family Residential (SF-2) to General Commercial (GC).
Section 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
