Ord 103-94 8/2/1994 • ORDINANCE NO. l ©� AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A TWENTY FOOT WIDE ALLEY EAST OF LOT 4, BLOCK 6, COLONIAL PARK SECTION "A", WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS,AND RESERVING A UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls deems it advisable and in the public interest to close the alley hereafter described. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The portion of a twenty (20) foot wide alley east of Lot 4, Block 6, Colonial Park Section "A", Wichita Falls, Texas, more specifically described as follows: BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 4, Block 6, Colonial Park Section "A" according to the plat of record in Volume 8, Page 93 of the Wichita County Plat Records; THENCE N 14°49' E, 149.74 feet along the east line of Lot 4 to its northeast corner; THENCE S 89°37' E, 20.65 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 5, Block 6; THENCE S 14°49' W, 149.74 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 6; THENCE N 89°37' W, 20.65 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. be hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned subject the retention of a utility and drainage easement described below. SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves a utility and drainage easement for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character of utility lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone, T.V. cable, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers in the entire portions of the alley closed in Section 1. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this Ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
