AN ORDINANCE REZONING 1609-1617 12th STREET AND 1202 AND 1204
CLARK STREET, BEING LOTS 13, 14, AND THE NORTHEAST 40 x 180 FT.
OUT OF BLOCK 1, SOUTHLAND ADDITION; LOT 7A, J. CARUTHERS
RESURVEY OF BLOCK 26, I. JALONIC ADDITION; AND LOTS 2 & 3,
BLOCK 1, AUSTIN SUBDIVISION, FROM LIMITED COMMERCIAL AND
SINGLE FAMILY-2 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CASE R 94-09);
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED
BY LAW.
WHEREAS,the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended that 1609-1617 12th Street and
1202 and 1204 Clark Street, being Lots 13, 14, and the northeast 40 x 180 ft. out of Block 1, Southland
Addition; Lot 7A, J. Caruthers Resurvey of Block 26, I. Jalonic Addition; and Lots 2 & 3, Block 1,
Austin Subdivision, Wichita Falls, Texas be rezoned from Single Family Residential (SF-2) and Limited
Commercial (LC) to General Commercial (GC); and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems that the proposed rezoning
of the area hereafter described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. 1609-1617 12th Street and 1202 and 1204 Clark Street, being Lots 13, 14, and the
northeast 40 x 180 ft. out of Block 1, Southland Addition; Lot 7A, J. Caruthers Resurvey of Block 26, I.
Jalonic Addition; and Lots 2 & 3, Block 1, Austin Subdivision, Wichita Falls, Texas, as shown as the
shaded area on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment No. 1, be rezoned from
Single Family Residential (SF-2) and Limited Commercial (LC) to General Commercial (GC).
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1st day of November, 1994.
