Ordinance To Approve Change Order #1 with URS Corporation For
The Design And Engineering Activities Associated With Runway 17-
35 At Wichita Falls Municipal Airport And Appropriating $29,567.00
In Airport Equity Funds To Cover The Unbudgeted Amount For This
Project
WHEREAS, On March 3, 2009, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a design
and engineering services agreement with URS Corporation for $278,039.74 for work
associated with the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Runway 17 -35 at Wichita Falls
Municipal Airport;
WHEREAS, the City desires to demolish existing runway edge lighting on behalf
of Sheppard Air Force Base in order to proceed with Phase II of the project; and,
WHEREAS, URS Corporation is proposing to do the engineering work
associated with this runway lighting demolition in the amount of $29,567.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The City Manager is authorized to approve Change Order #1 and /or
Amendment No. 1 to Work Order No. 12, attached hereto and incorporated herein, for
the engineering work associated with the demolition of edge lights on Runway 17 -35 at
Wichita Falls Municipal Airport, with changes thereto as approved by the City Attorney.
2. Appropriation of $29,567.00 in Airport Equity Funds is hereby made to the
2010 -2011 Budget for the aforementioned services.
