Ordinance Rezoning Approximately 1.13 Acres Of Land Within The
Highland West Side Subdivision From Single Family -2 Residential To
Limited Commercial And Amending The Land Use Plan By Changing
The Area From Low Density Residential To Light Commercial.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning change at its April 13, 2011, meeting, and voted unanimously to recommend
approval of this request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined that
the herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Approximately 1.13 acres of land, consisting of parts of Lots 2 -6, and Lots 7 -9,
Block 8, Highland West Side, also known as 3105, 3107, 3109, 3111, 3113, 3115, and
3117 Avenue S, as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as
Attachment "A ", is hereby rezoned from Single Family -2 to Limited Commercial.
2. The Land Use Plan Map is hereby amended to change the aforementioned
area from low density residential to light commercial.
