Resolution Authorizing The Purchase Of 2 Alley Side Load Sanitation
Bodies Through The BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative From
Equipment Southwest, Inc., In The Amount Of $172,170.00.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from competitive
bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Gov’t Code § 271.102(c), which provides:
c) A local government that purchases goods or services under this
subchapter satisfies any state law requiring the local government to seek
competitive bids for the purchase of the goods or services.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in the BuyBoard cooperative purchasing contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Equipment Southwest, Inc. through the
BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative is offering two 24-cubic yard alley side load
sanitation bodies through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative, and it is in the City’s
best interest to purchase said items in accordance with the BuyBoard Purchasing
Cooperative Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase 2 alley
side load bodies through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative from Equipment
Southwest, Inc., in the amount of $172,170.00.
