Resolution Approving The Wichita Falls Economic
Development Corporation’s Option And Sale Of
Approximately 18.5 Acres In The Wichita Falls
Business Park In The Amount Of $20,000 Per Acre
WHEREAS, on August 5, the Wichita Falls Economic Development Corporation
WFEDC) approved the sale of 8.21 acres in the Wichita Falls Business Park;
WHEREAS, on November 19, 2013 the WFEDC expanded this authorization to
an approximately 18.5-acre tract of land (depicted in the attached Exhibit A, including
the aforementioned 8.21 acre area) in the Wichita Falls Business Park; and
WHEREAS, Texas Local Gov’t. Code § 501.073(a) provides “The corporation's
authorizing unit will approve all programs and expenditures of a corporation and
annually review any financial statements of the corporation” and this transfer could be
considered to constitute a program or expenditure of the WFEDC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The WFEDC’s approval and funding of the following programs and expenditures,
as described below and in said corporation’s agenda, is approved:
Option & Sale of Approximately 18.5 Acres of Land in Business Park –
Authorizing the option and sale of approximately 18.5 acre tract of land in the
Wichita Falls Business Park in the amount of $20,000 per acre
