Ordinance Making An Appropriation In The General Fund In The
Amount Of $200,000 To Partially Finance The Costs Of Four Projects
And Programs Of The Multi-Purpose Events Center, And Amending
The 2013-14 City Budget For This Purpose
WHEREAS, the Multi-Purpose Events Center Staff requested $914,550 in funds
from the 4B Sales Tax Corporation to fully fund four projects and programs of the
MPEC; and,
WHEREAS, on October 30, 2013, the 4B Board recommended a maximum of
715,000 for these projects and programs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to fund these four projects and programs;
and
WHEREAS, adequate General Fund Reserves are available in the City’s budget
to assist in the financing of these projects and programs up to $200,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
An appropriation in the General Fund in the amount of $200,000 is hereby
approved to partially fund the cost of four MPEC Projects including (1) Events Center
Tracking Software, (2) Convention Incentives, (3) Artificial Turf for the Kay Yeager
Coliseum, and (4) Video Scoreboard for the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
