(2200 -2208 THIRD STREET), AN AREA OF 1.034 ACRES, FROM SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL -2 TO RIVER DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (CASE R
95 -07); FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended that a 1.034 acre tract of land (2200-
2208 Third Street) be rezoned from Single Family Residential (SF -2) to River Development District
(RDD) (Case R 95 -07); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems that the proposed rezoning
of the area hereafter described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The 1.034 acre tract of land (2200 -2208 Third Street) and shown as the shaded area on the
attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment No. 1, and more specifically described as
follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the north line of Third Street and the west line of Sunset Drive;
THENCE north along the west line of Sunset Drive 135 feet to a point;
THENCE west 320 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 1, Thomas Ward Addition;
THENCE south 73.5 feet to a point
THENCE west 30 feet to a point;
THENCE south 61.5 feet to a point in the north line of Third Street;
THENCE east 350 feet along the south line of Third Street to the point of beginning, containing 1.034
acres more or less;
be rezoned from Single Family Residential (SF -2) to River Development District (RDD).
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
