ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE
HOTEL /MOTEL FUND TO ASSIST IN SUPPORTING A
WELCOME FOR REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE NATO
NATIONS PARTICIPATING IN THE EURO -NATO JOINT
TRAINING PROGRAM AT SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE
WHEREAS, the Euro NATO Joint Training Program at Sheppard
Air Force base has a substantial impact on the economy of
Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, this program has a similar effect on the tourism
industry of the community through attracting visitors to
Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, the City has consistently pursued a policy of
support for this program; and
WHEREAS, the purpose for authorizing $6,000 is to assist
with financial support for the upcoming NATO Air Force Chiefs of
Staff visit:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
Hotel /Motel Fund the amount of $6,000 to be placed in account
number 26- 052 -4472 for the purpose of assisting in the support of
a welcome for representatives from the NATO nations.
