AN ORDINANCE REZONING AN 8.39 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF BLOCKS 5
& 8, DENTON COUNTY SCHOOL LAND, A -58 (5301 SEYMOUR HIGHWAY) AND
ALSO BEING A PORTION OF WESTMORELAND PARK AND ADJACENT
PROPERTIES FROM SINGLE FAMILY -2 RESIDENTIAL TO MULTIFAMILY
RESIDENTIAL (CASE R 95 -15); FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended that an 8.39 acre tract of land out of
Blocks 5 and 8, Denton County School Land, A -58 (5301 Seymour Highway) and also being a portion of
Westmoreland Park and Adjacent Properties, Wichita Falls, Texas, be rezoned from Single Family -2
Residential to Multifamily Residential (CASE R 95 -15); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems that the proposed rezoning
of the area hereafter described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I. An 8.39 acre tract of land out of Blocks 5 and 8, Denton County School Land, A -58
(5301 Seymour Highway) and also being a portion of Westmoreland Park and Adjacent Properties,
Wichita Falls, Texas, and shown as the shaded area on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as
Attachment No. 1, be rezoned from Single Family -2 Residential to Multifamily Residential.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of October, 1995.
