ORDINANCE NO. A - C4
An ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A
PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 16, HILLCREST
ADDITION; AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF THE
PROPERTY TO THE FEE OWNER; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS
DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received a request to
close, vacate, and abandon a portion of the alley in Block 16,
Hillcrest Addition; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the public interest
to close the hereinafter described tracts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
Tract I
FIELD NOTES OF THE ALLEY TO BE CLOSED WITH A UTILITY EASEMENT
RETAINED IN BLOCK 16, HILLCREST ADDITION;
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 19 -B, Block 16, Hillcrest
Addition to Wichita Falls, Texas as recorded in Volume 26, Page 381,
Wichita County Plat Records;
THENCE N 00 000120" E with the East line of Old Jacksboro Highway a
distance of 15.0 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 15 -A, Block 16,
Hillcrest Addition;
THENCE N 89 059145" E a distance of 100.0 feet;
THENCE S 00 000120" W a distance of 15.0 feet;
THENCE S 89 059145" W a distance of 100.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
Tract II.
FIELD NOTES OF THE ALLEY TO BE CLOSED IN BLOCK 16, HILLCREST
ADDITION;
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 19 -B, Block 16, Hillcrest
Addition to Wichita Falls be recorded in Volume 26, Page 381, Wichita
County Plat Records;
THENCE S 89 059145" W a distance of 169.5 feet;
THENCE N 00 000120" E a distance of 15.0 feet;
THENCE N 89 059145" E a distance of 169.5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

The above described alley to be closed, vacated, and abandoned
upon the filing of the final plat of Lot 19 -C, Block 16, Hillcrest
Addition in the Wichita County Plat Records.
Section 2. That in consideration of the receipt of Six Hundred Fifty
Four and No /100 ($654.00) Dollars, the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a quit claim deed to David Gilmore for the above described
property.
Section 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the
meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as
required by law.

THAT the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, a municipal corporation,
hereinafter called Grantor, acting by and through its duly authorized
Mayor, for and in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred Fifty Four
and No /100 ($654.00) Dollars and other good and valuable consideration,
in hand paid by David Gilmore, 3511 Jacksboro Highway, Wichita Falls,
Texas 76302, hereinafter called Grantee, the receipt of which is herein
acknowledged, has granted, sold, conveyed, released and forever quit
claims unto the said Grantee, all its right, title, and interest in and
to the following described real property situated in Wichita County,
Texas, to wit:

THENCE N 00 000120" E a distance of 15.0 feet;
THENCE N 89 059145" E a distance of 169.5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING•
On Tract I described above, Grantor retains a utility easement for
the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character of utility
lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone, television cable, and
power lines.
The above described alley is to be closed, vacated, and abandoned
upon the filing of the final plat of Lot 19 -C, Block 16, Hillcrest
Addition in the Wichita County Plat Records.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with
all and singular the appurtenances thereto, in any way belonging unto
the said Grantee, his heirs, successors, and assigns.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, a municipal
corporation of Wichita County, Texas, has caused this instrument to be
