Ord 034-96 3/5/1996ORDINANCE NO. (j AN ORDINANCE REZONING 29.8 ACRES OUT OF BLOCK 8, KEMP AND NEWBY SUBDIVISON, 900 MIDWESTERN PARKWAY, FROM HEAVY COMMERCIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CASE R 96 -01); FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended that 29.8 acres out of Block 8, Kemp and Newby Subdivison, 900 Midwestern Parkway, Wichita Falls, Texas, be rezoned from Heavy Commercial to General Commercial (Case R 96 -01); and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. A tract being 29.8 acres out of Block 8, Kemp and Newby Subdivison, Wichita Falls, Texas, also known as 900 Midwestern Parkway, and shown as the shaded area on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment No. 1, be rezoned from Heavy Commercial to General Commercial (Case R 96 -01). SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
