ORDINANCE NO. I — qO
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, DISANNEXING A PARCEL OF PROPERTY LOCATED
IN ARCHER COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING THAT SAID PROPERTY IS
NOT NECESSARY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of March, 1960, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1897, a
portion of property located within Archer County was annexed to the City of Wichita Falls;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls finds that such territory is
no longer needed for municipal purposes, is uninhabited, and that same should be disannexed
as a part of the City of Wichita Falls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described parcel of property, the same being hereby
found to be unnecessary for municipal purposes in accordance with Section 6 of the City
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, is hereby disannexed from the City of Wichita Falls and
shall cease to be a part of the City;
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limit line, said point being
the intersection of the common county line between Wichita and
Archer Counties and the centerline of Lake Road (F.M. 2380);
THENCE southwesterly along a line bearing South 54' 10' West to
an intersection with the westerly extension of the South line of a 6.5
acre tract described in Volume 95, Page 192 of the Wichita County
Deed Records;
THENCE easterly with the South line of said 6.5 acre tract to an
intersection with the southerly extension of the East line of the Day
Land and Cattle Company Survey; A -613;
THENCE northerly along the southerly extension of the East line of
the said Day Land and Cattle Company Survey to an intersection of
the common county line between Wichita and Archer Counties;

THENCE westerly along the common county line between Wichita
and Archer Counties to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing
5.7 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. It is the intent of the City Council that a copy of this ordinance shall be
published in a newspaper of general circulation in the community and within Archer County,
so as to give notice of this action of disannexation.
SECTION 3. It is hereby found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
