ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION
IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR ADDITIONAL GRANT
REVENUE FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OFFICE
OF THE GOVERNOR AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE CONTRACTING ACCEPTING SAME
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received
approval for supplemental grant funds from the Criminal
Justice Division Office of the Governor State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, said supplemental Grant funds will be used to
continue the Seventh Year funding of the North Texas
Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have
been anticipated prior to the adoption of the 1996 -1997
Budget,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
There is hereby appropriated in the General Fund
$276,193 for the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task
Force Grant, and the City Manager is authorized to enter
into contract with the Criminal Justice Division Office of
the Governor State of Texas.
