AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS
APPROVED FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (TDHCA)
FOR THE EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT
PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has applied for and received approval of a grant award with the Texas
Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the Emergency Shelter Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Wichita Falls City Council to be in the public
interest to provide homeless services and financial resources to non - profit agencies through the
Emergency Shelter Grant Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas:
SECTION 1. That the funds be appropriated for the Emergency Shelter Grant Program.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
