ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE III, SECTION 14 -64,
PARAGRAPH (E), SUB- SECTION (2) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Board of Electrical Examiners proposes to amend a Section of
the City Electrical Code, and
WHEREAS, the Board feels the amendment will improve the Electrical Code by
providing additional life safety for swimming pool, hot tub or spa electrical installations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Sub - section (2) of Chapter 14, Article III, Section 14 -64 (E) is
hereby amended by adding the following sentence.
"Exception: A home owners permit shall not include any electrical installation for
a swimming pool, hot tub or spa and all such electrical work shall only be allowed by a
General Electrical Permit issued to a Master Electrician."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
