WAIVING SECTIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
WITH REGARD TO VEHICLE AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR
A SPECIAL SERVICE VEHICLE.
WHEREAS, the City Code of Ordinances regarding vehicles for hire places a
prohibition against vehicles older than 8 years of age, and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from Alfred S. Tucker, owner of a Special
Disabled Transportation and Courier Service, to waive this age requirement for a handicapped
van, and
WHEREAS, this van has passed City inspection and meets all of its safety requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WICHITA FALLS
THAT:
A waiver of the vehicle age requirement of the City ordinance is approved for a 1978 Ford
Van, VIN #E15HHAH5850.
