ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION. 22 -1 (a)(2) OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT VEHICLES ON THE GRASS
DURING AN EVENT BY THE RADIO CONTROL CLUB JUNE
21-22,1997 IN JAYCEE PARK.
WHEREAS, the Radio Control Club has requested permission to drive vehicles upon the
grass during a pylon race in the park; and,
and,
WHEREAS, the Club has conducted several similar events with no reported problems;
WHEREAS, no public parking on the grass is requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22- 1(a)(2) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived during an event by the
Radio Control Club June 21 -22, 1997 in JayCee Park to permit vehicles upon the grass to
transport pylons and equipment.
