AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF A LIMITED
RESTAURANT IN SECTION 2030 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed the definition of
a Limited Restaurant and finds that amendments to this definition are necessary where
it is the intent of such amendment to encourage and promote entertainment and
recreation possibilities within certain areas of the City; and,
WHEREAS, there is sufficient over -sight by the P &Z to mitigate harmful effects
from such use, where such review and over -sight accomplishes the intent of zoning and
promotes the general welfare of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The definition of a Limited Restaurant in Section 2030 of the
Zoning Ordinance is amended to read as follows:
RESTAURANT, LIMITED
A business engaged in the serving of prepared foods which are served and primarily
consumed on site, and is contained within an area of not more than 1200 square feet.
Such enterprises may include, but are not limited to, salad bars, sandwich shops, ice
cream parlors, tearooms, and similar uses.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
