ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING GENERAL FUND EQUITY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $90,000 FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF
FOUR OUTDOOR WARNING SIRENS
WHEREAS, the City Council recently awarded a bid for the purchase of twenty -
five outdoor warning sirens, and
WHEREAS, on October 7, 1997 the City Council approved the annexation of two
additional areas that will require outdoor warning sirens, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate funds in order to purchase four
additional sirens to address these annexed areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls hereby appropriates $90,000 of General Fund Equity for
the express purpose of purchasing four outdoor warning sirens, poles and other
miscellaneous installation costs.
