AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONEY RECEIVED FROM THE
U.S. JUSTICE DEPARTMENT TO FUND THE WEED AND SEED
PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls as the administrating agency has received a
grant from the U.S. Justice Department to fund operations by the Wichita Falls' Weed
and Seed; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate those funds to begin the Weed and
Seed program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Funding available through the grant for $125,000 is hereby
appropriated.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
