AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX A - SUBDIVISIONS, SECTION
9(B)(2)(A) REQUIRING BOUNDARY STREETS TO BE IMPROVED AS
PART OF THE PLATTING PROCESS
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to require interior streets to be
improved to City specifications as part of the platting process; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that curb and gutter be installed on all
boundary streets as part of the platting process, or, if it is not possible to install such
curb and gutter, that sufficient funds be deposited into escrow to pay for the installation
of such curbs and gutters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Appendix A - Subdivisions Section 9(B)(2)(a) be modified to read as follows:
a) Streets. Curbs and gutters shall be installed by the subdivider on both
sides of all interior streets and on the subdivision side of all streets
forming part of the boundary of the subdivision. Curbs and gutters shall
be constructed to City specifications. All interior streets shall be paved by
the subdivider to City specifications. If the subdivider is unable, for
reason, to construct the boundary street curbs and gutters, then the
subdivider shall place a cash deposit with the City, to be held in
perpetuity, or until the boundary street is improved to municipal standards,
in the amounts specified by the City to pay for the installation of such
curbs and gutters.
