AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $102,443 FROM THE GENERAL
FUND FOR PARTIAL REPAYMENT OF A HOME PROGRAM GRANT
FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls ( "City ") was awarded a HOME program
grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ( "HUD ") as "set
aside" for a Community Housing Development Organization ( "CHDO "); and
WHEREAS, Jerusalem Community Development Corporation ( "JCDC ") received
funding as a CHDO to acquire seven homes to be rehabilitated and sold; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to cancel the program by repayment of funds to
HUD and complete other program obligations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Funding in the amount of $102,443 is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund for payment to HUD.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
