AN ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 4220(1), OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE, GOVERNING THE PLACEMENT OF A CARPORT IN THE
FRONT SETBACK AREA AT 5118 INLET DRIVE; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission determined that all- weather
access to locations other than the front setback area was reasonably possible at 5118
Inlet Drive; and;
WHEREAS, the owner of property located at 5118 Inlet Drive requested a waiver
of Section 4220(1) of the City of Wichita Falls Zoning Ordinance governing the
placement of carports in the front yard; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it in the
public interest to waive this ordinance hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 4220(1) of the Zoning Ordinance governing the placement
of carports in the front yard, is hereby waived to allow a carport at 5118 Inlet Drive,
further described as Lot 34, Block 5, Meadow Lake, Section 5, Wichita Falls, Texas.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
