ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS
TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE FUND, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
ACCEPTING THE AWARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received approval for grant funds from
the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund of the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, on February 17, 1998 the City Council approved the acceptance of
the TIF grant
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate funds in the Special Revenue Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls hereby appropriates $46,114 in the Special Revenue
Fund for funds received from the State of Texas Telecommunications Infrastructure
Fund for the express purpose of purchasing Internet connectivity hardware and related
peripherals. Be it further ordained that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute the necessary contract document accepting these funds.
