AN ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 25 -69 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE OPERATION OF A TRANSIENT SHOW
AT THE NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL 22ND ANNUAL SPRING
FESTIVAL ON MAY 1, 2, AND 3, 1998
WHEREAS, the Notre Dame Schools are planning their 22 "d Annual Spring
Festival on May 1, 2, and 3, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Notre Dame Schools have requested a waiver of Section 25 -69 of
the Code of Ordinances, which prohibits any transient show from locating within 300
feet of any private residence, church or school; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances involved in this
situation are exceptional, and that such waiver of Section 25 -69 should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The requirements of Section 25 -69 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Wichita Falls are hereby waived to allow the issuance of a license to Notre
Dame Schools, or its concessionaires, to allow location of a transient show on the Notre
Dame High School parking lot and grounds at 2821 Lansing Boulevard on May 1, 2,
and 3, 1998.
