ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY WAIVER OF SECTION
32- 57(A), RATES FOR SEWER SERVICE, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2803 OLD
JACKSBORO HIGHWAY AND AUTHORIZING RATE ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, Section 32- 57(a), Rates for sewer service, of the Code of
Ordinances states, in part, "The charge for sanitary sewer service shall be determined
by the water consumption. For all retail users except residential users, the monthly
sewer charge shall be based on the monthly water usage billed in the same month. ";
and
WHEREAS, Section 32 -57(f) provides a means to adjust sewer rates for
residential customers who experience a water leak, but not commercial customers; and
WHEREAS, the owner of property located at 2803 Old Jacksboro Highway
experienced a water leak on or about January 13, 1998 and requests an adjustment to
his sewer bill.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to adjust the sewer charges
for Account No. 602602669, 2803 Old Jacksboro Highway for the month of February to
an amount equal to the average sewer rate charged to this account during the
preceding three months.
