ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING HOTEUMOTEL FUND EQUITY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $250,000 TO A SPECIAL CONVENTION AND VISITOR'S
BUREAU ACCOUNT FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO ASSISTING AND
ESTABLISHING SUMMER TRAINING CAMP FACILITIES FOR THE
DALLAS COWBOYS
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been selected as the site for the
summer training camp of the Dallas Cowboys' professional football team, and
WHEREAS, new facilities for the training camp will be established on the
grounds of Midwestern State University, and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the City will benefit from tourism related to the
training camp activities, and
WHEREAS, there are available reserves in the Hotel /Motel Fund to assist in the
establishment of the facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls hereby appropriates $250,000 of Hotel /Motel Fund
Equity to a special Convention and Visitor's Bureau account for the express purpose of
assisting in the establishment of the training facilities related to the Dallas Cowboys'
summer training camp.
