AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE KIEL ROAD /US 287 AREA; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance 107 -97 annexed an area generally
referred to as the Kiel Road /US 287 Area and described in that Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Section 1065 of the Zoning Ordinance zones property as Single -
Family-1 until permanent zoning classification can be applied; and
WHEREAS, a workshop and required public hearing have included public
participation in a rezoning process for the area described in Ordinance 106 -97 and for
an area proposed for rezoning generally adjacent to the area described by Ordinance
107 -97.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The areas described in Attachment A herein and described by
Ordinance 107 -97 are hereby established and confirmed as the permanent zoning
classifications until such time amendments occur following the required processes
established by ordinance, and that those areas not described by Ordinance 107 -97 but
included on Attachment A are hereby rezoned according to Attachment A.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
