Ordinance Appropriating $5,997 To The Special Revenue Fund For
Traffic Enforcement, Received From The Texas Department Of
Transportation Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (Click It Or
Ticket) Wave Grant FY 2011, And Authorizing The City Manager To
Execute All Documents Necessary To Accept Said Grant Funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been invited to participate in a direct
award from the Texas Department of Transportation for the purpose of selective
enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the primary enforcement emphasis of this grant program will be on
the non -use of occupant restraints (safety belts and child safety seats) during the
holiday period, which will span from May 23, 2011 through June 5, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is appropriated $5,997 to the City's Special Revenue Fund for Traffic
Enforcement, received from the aforementioned grant from the Texas Department of
Transportation, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary
to accept said grant funds.
