ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF $23,395 IN SEIZED FUNDS
TO BE USED AS MATCHING FUNDS FOR A $210,761 BUREAU OF
JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received a Grant from the Bureau of
Justice Assistance (BJA) in the amount of $210,761; and
WHEREAS, this City is required to match this grant money with $23,395; and,
WHEREAS, there is sufficient money in the Seized Funds account to pay this
matching money;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
$23,395 in the Seized Funds account is hereby appropriated for use in paying the
City's match for the Bureau of Justice Assistance Grant that has been received by the
City of Wichita Falls for use by the Police Department.
