AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR ADDITIONAL GRANT REVENUE FROM THE CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received an award of grant funds from
the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, said grant funds will be used to continue the Ninth Year funding of
the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task force; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior
to the adoption of the 1997 — 1998 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
_ There is hereby appropriated in the General Fund $452,108.00 for the North
Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force Grant, and the City Manager is
authorized to enter into contract with the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the
Governor, of the State of Texas.
