AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS REPEALING
SECTIONS 7- 16(4); 18 -1/4 -3 (AMENDING SECTION 106.1 OF THE
SOUTHERN STANDARD HOUSING CODE); AND SECTION 18- 1/2 -(1)
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN
THE CODE; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on the 1st of July, 1997, the City Council adopted an ordinance
creating the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals, which combined the
Building Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals; the Housing Board of Adjustments
and Appeals; and the Plumbing and Mechanical Board of Adjustments and Appeals;
and,
WHEREAS, by the establishment of the Construction Board of Adjustments and
Appeals, it is necessary to repeal the ordinances establishing the Building Code Board
of Adjustments and Appeals; the Housing Board of Adjustments and Appeals; and the
Plumbing and Mechanical Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following sections of the Code of Ordinances, establishing the
Building Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals; the Housing Board of Adjustments
and Appeals; and the Plumbing and Mechanical Board of Adjustments and Appeals; the
same being Section 7- 16(4); 18 -1/4 -3 (amending Section 106.1 of the Southern
Standard Housing Code), and Section 18- 1/2 -2(1) are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, that the provisions of this ordinance shall become a part of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that sections of this ordinance may
be renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention.
SECTION 3. If any section, paragraph, clause, or provision of this ordinance
shall for any reason be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the invalidity or
unenforceability of such section, paragraph, clause, or provision shall not affect any of
the remaining provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law
