ORDINANCE NO.
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VITEK PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT REGULATIONS TO ADD "RADIO AND TELEVISION
TRANSMITTING TOWERS" AS A PERMITTED USE TO THE PLANNED
UNIT DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended amending the
district regulations for the Viteck Planned Unit Development District to add "radio and
television transmitting towers" as a permitted use; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the
proposed amendment to this Planned Unit Development District is in accordance with
the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The regulations for the Vitek Industrial Park Planned Unit
Development are hereby amended to add "radio and television transmitting towers" to
the list of permitted uses. The site plan of this district is hereby amended to include a
communications tower on the northern portion of Lot 5 -A, as shown on the attached
map, incorporated into this ordinance as Attachment "A."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
