AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FROM THE TEXAS TELECOMMUNICATIONS
INFRASTRUCTURE FUND BOARD (TIFB) AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ACCEPTING THE
AWARD; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received approval for grant funds from
the Telecommunication Infrastructure Fund Board of the State of Texas (TIFB); and
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1999 the City Council approved the acceptance of
the TIFB grant; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate the funds in the Special Revenue
Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund the
amount of $89,570 in account 289 -2450 for funds received from the Texas
Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board for the express purpose of purchasing
connectivity hardware and related peripherals to establish or enhance
telecommunications technologies.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute contracts
accepting same.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law
