ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM SPECIAL REVENUE
FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR LINEAR PARK
CONNECTING WILLIAMS AND O'REILLY PARKS; DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a need has been identified to provide recreational opportunities to
enhance neighborhood development on the city's eastside; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to use local funds for survey work and land
acquisition; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in a Special Revenue Property Sales
Account (280- 8510); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a federal CDBG project for the
construction of a linear park from O'Reilly Park to Williams Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. $100,000 is hereby appropriated from the Special Revenue
Property Sales Account 280 -8510 to perform survey work and land acquisition for the
construction of a linear park from O'Reilly Park to Williams Park.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law
