ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 4220(1) OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE PLACEMENT OF A CARPORT IN THE
FRONT SETBACK AT 3405 ARTHUR STREET; DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission determined that all- weather
access to a location other than the front setback area was reasonably possible at 3405
Arthur Street; and,
WHEREAS, the owner of the property located at 3405 Arthur Street requested a
waiver of Section 4220(1) of the City of Wichita Falls Zoning Ordinance governing the
placement of carports in the front yard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it in the
public interest to waive this ordinance hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 4220(1) of the Zoning Ordinance governing the placement
of carports in the front yard is hereby waived to allow a carport at 3405 Arthur Street,
further described as Lot 13, Block A, Loves Replat, Wichita Falls, TX.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
