ORDINANCE AMENDING THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN, AN ELEMENT
OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Policy Advisory Committee for the Metropolitan Planning
Organization has reviewed proposals to amend the May 1996 Thoroughfare Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Policy Advisory Committee has requested that the Thoroughfare
Plan be amended as indicated herein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with the recommendations of the Policy
Advisory Committee and finds that amending the Plan is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Thoroughfare Plan is amended in accordance with Attachment
A, incorporated herein as a part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 18th day of May, 1999.
