ORDINANCE NO. 4-"A —GI�
ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS 8 -14, BLOCK 6, SOUTH PARK
ADDITION, KNOWN AS 400 -412 (EVEN NUMBERS) FOUNTAIN
STREET, FROM RESIDENTIAL MIXED USE TO HEAVY COMMERCIAL
ZONING AND AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning Lots
8 -14, Block 6, South Park Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission acknowledged that conditions
in the proposed area have changed and recommends amending the Land Use Plan,
and element of the Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described will be in accordance with the
Comprehensive Land Use Plan, to conform to this rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for Lots 8-
14, Block 6, South Park Addition, shown on the attached map, incorporated in this
ordinance as Attachment "A ". Said property land use designation shall be changed
from low density residential to Commercial.
SECTION 2. The property described as Lots 8 -14, Block 6, South Park Addition,
Wichita Falls, Texas, and shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as
Attachment "A ", be rezoned from Residential Mixed Use to Heavy Commercial zoning.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1 st day of June, 1999.
